SURVIVALHOSTING
The platform

Built by people who got tired of bad hosts

Every decision here comes from running game servers ourselves and being annoyed by something. This is what that turned into.

Hardware and performance

Game servers are almost never limited by core count. They are limited by how fast a single core can chew through a tick. That is why every node we run is a Ryzen 9 9950X or 7950X3D rather than a cheaper many-core server part — the boost clock is what your tick rate actually feels.

  • DDR5 ECC memory with generous per-instance allocation
  • NVMe Gen4 in RAID 10 — save writes on a heavily built world do not stall the tick
  • 70% allocation cap on every node, so there is always headroom for your peak
  • 10 Gbps uplinks on Tier-1 blended transit

We do not sell "unmetered vCPU" on an oversubscribed box. When a node fills up we stop selling on it and bring another one online.

DDoS protection

Game servers attract attacks. Ours are filtered continuously at the network edge with 12 Tbps of capacity, including game-aware layer 7 rules that tell the difference between a real player joining and a spoofed query flood.

The important part is what we do not do: we never null-route your IP to make an attack someone else's problem. Filtering is always on, included on every plan, and there is no "under attack" mode you have to remember to switch on.

Mods and plugins

Mod management is where most panels give up and hand you an FTP client. Ours has a real catalogue:

  • Oxide (uMod) and Carbon for Rust, side by side, with separate config directories
  • BepInEx for Valheim, V Rising and friends
  • Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, Paper, Purpur and Spigot for Minecraft
  • Steam Workshop collections for DayZ, Zomboid, Conan Exiles and the rest
  • CurseForge and Modrinth modpacks installed straight from a URL

Every install resolves its dependencies, pins the version you picked, and rolls back automatically if the server fails to boot afterwards.

Backups and restores

Backups run nightly, automatically, on every plan, and they are stored off-node — a backup on the same disk as the thing it protects is not a backup.

  • 14-day retention as standard, 30 days on Citadel
  • Manual snapshots before any risky change
  • Restore over the live world or into a fresh one
  • Download any backup as an archive whenever you like

Support

Tickets are answered by people who run game servers, 24/7/365, with a median first reply of about eight minutes. Most things get solved faster than that in our Discord.
